If you want a "taste of India" this is not the place to go. My wife and I visited the luncheon buffet and were generally disappointed. The tandoori chicken was dry and hard, perhaps from the day before or over cooked. The daal and other dishes were overly runny and you ended up with more liquid/sauce than lentils, chicken, etc. There was a uniformity of flavor, or lack of. It certainly had no "zazz" to it. To complete the insult, they charged me $7.95 for one bottle of Taj Mahal beer....The bathrooms were rundown, dirty, and quite disgusting. My wife remarked later that she had to use paper to touch everything, including the door handle because the ladies room was so dirty and tatty. I like Indian food and have enjoyed it all over the world. My experience here was disappointing to say the least.

This was by far our worst dining experience ever!

Had the lunch buffet today, 3/29/11, and would never go back.

Prior to going in, my wife said to me - Honey, there are no cars here at all; maybe this isn't a good place to eat. Jokingly I replied: Don't worry, if we get food poisoning, at least we'll get it together.

The buffet was made up of 7 or 8 different dishes. Not only was most of the food not hot, it also tasted horrible. It is hard to mess up Naan; however, they also managed to get it wrong (different).

We have traveled extensively and had Indian cuisine in many different countries as well as many places here in the US. I hate to give such hard critique; however, it is truly deserved here.

The service was also inadequate. Not one time did our waitress stop by to see if we needed any re-fills on drinks or ask us how everything was.

The Atmosphere was grotesque. TV was on showing the news................$8.95 plus tax per person seemed like a good deal. Boy, were we wrong.

Bottom line is: If you want good Indian food, decent service, and a good atmosphere, go elsewhere.

We've eaten at Taste of Thai several times and have really enjoyed their food. If you've ever tried to make a Tandoori pork dish, vindaloo or chicken tikka masala, you'll appreciate a good one when you try it. The spices and flavor are all there and nicely rounded out. The main dishes at least ranks with the Bengal Tiger in Seattle, WA. However, the naan could use a little work.

Try one of these tips to improve your results:
  • Ensure your search term was spelled correctly.
  • Use a filter, search by neighborhood or drag and zoom the map to check a different part of town.
  • Make your search less specific (e.g. Chinese instead of Kung Pao chicken).
  • Are we missing a venue or event? Add it and let us know what you think.
  • Sampling a little bit from each of the major regions of the one of the world’s most populous countries, you get to leave with the whole experience of India, minus the runs but with all the curry perfume you could ask for. The décor is nothing fancy, but still authentic in the sense of walking into an Indian home. The owners seem to always be on site adding to the homely feel, and at times treat you like an unwelcomed house guest so you really get the whole experience. All and all though the food is inexpensive, and the service, while cold, is speedy making it a good jumping off point for Indian food beginners. There is also a buffet on Tuesdays so you can see what your palate can tolerate and several options for vegetarians as well.

Eh. I don’t feel strongly about it either way. I don’t hate it or love it, I wouldn’t recommend it or dismiss it, it just is.
