Food, service are good. But you need to get there before 5:00 - 5:30 p. m , otherwise you can expect to wait an hour or more. Best BBQ up north so far!

Now I have to admit I am not from the south, and in a Southerners eyes have probably never experienced "real" BBQ, but I can tell you I have tried just about everywhere in Colorado and no one even comes close to Famous Dave's. I don't write too many reviews, but the food was so good I thought I would share. I did have to wait about 30 minutes to get in, but now I see why, its definitely worth the wait.

  • If it has anything barbecue, er- Bar-b-Que, related, it’s on the menu or on the wall at Famous Dave’s. The cleanliness is the only thing unauthentic about this concept, so surprisingly close to true, down-home bar-b-que, whichever part of the country is represented by your menu choice. How does a company from... Minnesota, come this close to southern cooking? It just doesn’t really matter because it just does. One of three Denver-area locations, it is conveniently located in the Larkridge Mall in Thornton.
