  • Spanish speaking is a definite plus at El Paraiso, a restaurant where Quentin Tarantino may have found inspirations for some of his more colorful south-of-the-border backdrops. Resembling a Baja casino with a live mariachi dinner show on the weekends, this is pretty much a Mexican-themed restaurant minus the irony. The menu, like the decor, is loud, colorful and slightly over the top. Thankfully it contains pictures to aid American hermanos and hermanas in choosing an appropriate meal. You'll need a couple trips to really take in the whole scene.
