Though inhabitants of Ethiopia might not be so lucky, fortunate Denverites are given the opportunity to sample Horn of Africa delicacies at Queen of Sheba. A small restaurant located on the eastern end of Colfax, Queen offers inexpensive and creative ways to expand your knowledge of ethnic food beyond "spaghetti" and "burritos." Ethiopian cuisine revolves mainly around a type of flat bread called Injera (think sour dough pancakes) which is topped with either vegetarian or meat stews. Serving traditional dishes for one or two, you can earn culture points and impress your date at the same time.
