We tried OBL again after a bad experience a while back and were hopeful things had changed. We were even more disappointed the second time. My order came out exactly how they promised it would not. The server said that it was not supposed to be that way and said he would fix it on the bill. They took aff a very minimal amount considering the amount of the salad that was inedible. They charge much more than they took off if you were adding that meat to a salad. Even though we were frustrated we paid the bill, but my husband wanted to mention what happened to the manager and asked to speak to him on the way out. He waited about 5 minutes and when no one came back to him with a he'll be right with you, he left.

The Old Blinking Light in Highlands Ranch is a great place to take a large group. My company had a party this past winter and they had a great private room to accommodate our size. It has doors that can open to the dining area or be closed for more privacy. The food is an interesting mixture of American and Southwestern. Something for everyone. I will defiantly be back.

My wife and I had dinner the evening of May 1, 2010, she had the stacked enchiladas, I had the beef fajitas, and started off with Nat's Salad. Menu said the ingredients were romaine, bacon crumbles, bleu cheese dressing, Maytag bleu cheese. Took 3 bites of the salad and discovered extremely high levels of cayenne pepper and Tabasco sauce in the dressing. On the 4th bite, my mouth was on fire. "Thermonuclear" comes to mind. After half a glass of water, I had burning down in my tonsil area the heat was so bad. So I pushed the salad aside, the waiter came by asked if something was wrong, I filled him in between gulps of water. He removed the salad. The fajitas were fine, the bill came and the waiter charged us the $8.00 for the uneaten salad. Total bill was $82.00.
I felt very ripped off. The waiter knew the salad was uneaten, but charged us anyway. Had the chef not crazy on the Tabasco-cayenne pepper in the bleu cheese dressing, the salad would have been perfect. Obviously the menu is not accurate - no mention of the extreme fire in the bleu cheese dressing. Future customers beware - if you don't like what's served, they will charge you anyway. We live just 2 miles away, won't be going back.

The Old Blinking Light Is a hip, trendy, cozy, comfortable dining emporium for guests of all ages. The atmosphere pulsates with a positive attitude. The food delivers with passionate flavors assembled into colorful dishes that are not disguised by flamboyance. Also, they have an attractive wine list both, in quality and price. Service is refreshingly polished and refined. In an area that is developing to be bound by chain restaurants and hopefully not gagged by chain restaurants, the OBL has the potential to be one of Denver's really great independent restaurants. It can hold its own anywhere.

Oh wow. This is the place to go to impress that sophisticated girl you've been eyeing. Contemporary and creative spins on traditional southwester cuisine, Old Blinking Light, brings elegance and class to the burbs. Entrees are beautifully plated and designed by chefs in those huge white hats (which obviously means the place is good). The menu isn't overly pretentious, but has some interesting surprises that are sure not to disappoint. Where else can you go in Littleton for avocado mousse? Its no Taco Bell, but you'll survive without the reconstituted beans. I promise.
