We have a very serious question for you, Metromixin vixens: What's more relaxing than expressing yourselves while painting? The answer is quite obvious with this one: Painting while getting sloshed with a group of fun people, of course. At Canvas and Cocktails in the heart of Cherry Creek North you can do just that—drink cocktails in a class full of other people drinking cocktails while an instructor teaches you how to paint! Come on, isn’t that the coolest concept ever?
9NEWS' entertainment reporter, Kirk Montgomery, couldn't resist the urge to test his skills at painting (had nothing to do with the cocktails whatsoever!) so he stopped by to see what Canvas and Cocktails is all about.
After visiting a class for an episode in “Metromix.com TV” he came back and explained how it works, "You go in and sit at a blank canvas and there are paintbrushes all numbered and lined up, and the instructor tells you which paint brush to use and shows you how to paint while you drink!"
Enough said. This might explain all the sold out classes on their calendar. It’s a popular hotspot in Cherry Creek. It’s a perfect place to plan a fun outing with your friends, for a date or heck, to escape the stresses in the real world.
