Very nice place. The fish was good and the salad was the freshest I have had in a while. But if you order the fish lunch portion, buck up the extra $2 and get the dinner portion. The lunch portion only comes with one piece.

Got 86'ed from this bar for life after frequenting it for almost 3 years. Never an angry word. No verbal sparring or threatening posturing. No flatulence or lack of personal hygiene. Not once did I crash into the band, throw up, spilled a drink (although I did have quite a few picked up while I wasn't looking), or goose anyone. Not once did I miss the urinal or bump into anyone. Their reason; I stand too close to people. Sorry if being 45% deaf in a crowded bar makes me a personal space-invader.

This would be a decent place to go if you could find a seat. When you walk in, there is a sign that says "Seat Yourself." Seat yourself on a Friday night? How is this possible? All the tables were taken and there were about 50 people standing around, waiting for people to get up. There is no way to know how long the wait might be, where a table might open up, and who got there first. Everyone was just hovering over the occupied tables, in the hopes that someone would move. What are we supposed to do when one opens up...arm wrestle for it?
I complained to the hostess and asked why they don't keep a list. She stated that they are a bar, so they only take names during lunch time. Sorry, but Cherry Cricket is a bar and they take names for tables. Old Chicago is a bar, they also keep a list. She stated it was company policy not to have a list for tables. This is a CRAZY policy. Why would you have a full menu but no hostess to help seat people? We ended up walking out. There are too many options for eating in Denver to justify standing around jousting for a table.

I'm from out of town, but my friend took me to this bar, not really knowing what it was about.
The service was good -- I got my drinks fast and the staff was friendly. There was a decent '80s band, if you're into cover bands (which I'm not).
But it just wasn't my scene.
Lots of cougars dressed to the nines and flirting with young dudes, and tons of guys in Ed Hardy and Affliction T-shirts. Yikes.

“Never a cover, never closed” is the company’s motto. Great for customers, and just a thrill for the employees. This place has it all, from a tasty menu, live music four nights a week, a happy hour that lasts 7 hours a day and ALL DAY on Sundays. Submerge yourself in the British memorabilia (Sherlock & Watson, the Beatles, etc.) at this pub in the Belmar ShoppingCenter (there’s another location in DTC) and play darts/pool/video games or just chill with a cheap drink out on the patio. You can also check the band event calendar on the pub's website (www.sherlockspubco.com).
