I moved out East 6 years ago and still long for Bennys. Its a dive with the best Mexican food...whether you are going for brunch and having their juevos rancheros or going for a smothered burrito with their yummy green chili, its all good. Don't expect fancy, just expect delicious and consistency.

My friends and I went to this place tonight on a reccomendation and I connot believe that the health department hasn't shut down this place! My tacos were cold, the salsa was more like katchup, and I had the worst margartia ever! I will never go back here. I hope that I don't get food poisoning! Another note, this place is very loud, I could not hear the person siitng across from speak at all. I will never come here again!

Benny's has great food and it's just a fun place to go. I've been going there for 20 years and never had a bad meal.

I was told by one of my friends that this was one of the best spots in town. Boy was she wrong! The Chicken Burrito that I ordered was cold and uncooked! I asked our waiter to warm it up and it took an extra 20 minutes to get it back and it was still cold! I can't believe that this place is a metromix pic! I will never return to this place, and as a warning to everyone that eats at Benny's, be sure that your food is cooked all the way. The Chips and salso were ok though.?

If you have family in town from out of state and are looking to take them to one of Denver's gem restaurants, take them to Benny's! Their menu is full of many common Mexican dishes so you don;t have to worry about what to order. It is their unique flavoring in their red enchilada sauce and the rice that makes this place so yummy. It is loud and usually always crowded, but only because it kicks so much ass, and Denver knows how to party when there's tequila around. Even though it's part bar, it is still surprisingly family friendly. Chips and salsa are endless and delicious. Whoever talks smack about Benny's, doesn't know Denver! And one more thing- this place won't dent the bank accout- the menu is very well priced!

  • A sensation on Capitol Hill since 1987, Benny’s is by far one of the best Mexican restaurants---ever. Yes, we went there. Locally owned, the restaurant has been barred by several publications as having the best food, green chili, best rellenos, and need we forget, margaritas in town. The atmosphere is comfortable yet lively. Being so popular by the locals, you may need to call ahead for ‘resies’ if it is a party of 6 or more (Fri. & Sat. excluded). You have over 15 margaritas to choose from and all the tequila you can handle. A personal fave is the liter o’ margs, to split with a bud. Get the sloppy burrito and a pear margarita and you’ll never want to leave.
