The main reason I tried The Counter was the fact that they use humanely raised beef in their burgers (KUDOS!!!). The huge bonus is that the burgers are really, really great. I have only one complaint about the restaurant - the portion sizes. PLEASE consider a 1/4 burger for your menu. 1/3 lb as the smallest size is too big, not to mention, the bigger the burger, the harder it is to cook (as evidenced by the huge difference between medium (more like medium rare) and medium well (virtually no pink in it, though we were told it was meant to be closer to medium)). The last thing I want to do is *waste* humanely raised beef. Also, please provide a smaller side option. Two people really can't split an order of fries or the combo sides. It's just WAY too much food. That's it. I again want to stress the overall deliciousness of the food here and my sincere appreciation for trying to do something good by conscientiously sourcing ingredients.
