Buzz about Japon
As a recent transplant to Denver, I went looking for sushi. Japon was in a great area and had very nice ambiance. Unfortunatly the sushi was sub-par at best. My rolls did not seem fresh and overall just not that tasty. I can say nothing was aweful but I have had much better sushi in other cities. Now I know Denver is landlocked but so is Chicago and I have had some of the best sushi in the world therel. I will continue my quest to find a good sushi spot in Denver. For all others looking - I would say skip this one.
posted on January 5, 2012This has been one of or favorite sushi restaurants for years. We've tried many of their dishes and have really liked most of them. The wait staff isn't always warm and inviting, but we can get over that if the food is as good as it is here. (They're not rude, they're just not super friendly.) I liked the atmosphere better before they changed it a few years ago, but it's still a fun place to go, and the food is great!

I suppose we all live in a fish bowl in one sense or another, floating there for all the world to see. Drifting, swimming, drifting, swimming. It's only a matter of time before we get netted in the ebb of life and trotted to the chopping block. We were beautiful while we lasted, our shimmering scales reflecting the rays of the flourescent lamps. But in the end, we were just too tasty to throw back. Not to worry, the butcher's blade is sharp and his stroke quick. "Mmmm ... yellowtail sushi and a California roll. It just doesn't get any fresher." This transformed old movie theatre offers a wide array of dishes to choose from that will please every palate. Which is why this contemporary sushi restaurant has established itself as an area favorite. It's become so popular you can even bid on gift certificates on eBay! It is no big surprise that they've been serving up sushi for over a decade here in Denver.
