Buzz about Sushi Den

I am originally from Baltimore and I know what fresh sushi taste like. I have been in Colorado for 2 years and thought that I was never going to have fresh, good tasting sushi until I found Sushi Den! I found this place sometime last year and haven't eaten sushi any other place.
Some people may be turned off by how long you may have to wait on any giving night, but this just shows you just how amazing this place is. My recommendation would be to get there 1 hour before your body really wants food. This should give you plenty of time. They have valet parking or you can find a spot on the street, either is fine.
From the time you walk in the door, you can feel and see what everyone is ranting and raving about. The atmosphere is very nice and the layout is well done. You can choose to sit at the sushi bar and watch your meal become a masterpiece or you can sit in 1 of the 3 sections in the dining room at a table.
Sushi Den has a great staff that is knowledgeable and friendly. The first time I went I enjoyed various pieces of sushi and also had a traditional entrée. The miso soup is amazing with fresh ingredients and the eel (unagi) is the tastiest.
Final Take: If you have never been I would say make a plan to do so. If you’re not real big on sushi, don’t worry; there are regular entrée’s that I am sure you will like. This is a place where there is something for everyone. And if you need to quench your thirst then do so by drinking a Sapporo or warm your soul with hot sake. Happy Eats!

My group and I came out to sushi den before we went to a concert. The service was great and the people were friendly but more importantly the SUSHI was amazing. The atmosphere is great because you could either go on a date here or bring a group of friends. I will be coming back very soon and enjoying some amazing sushi

A Denver classic, most think of Sushi Den as the best sushi in the city. It is a high energy, always packed restaurant with three separate dinning rooms and two floors. It is all you would expect from a swanky must-try sushi restaurant with inventive dishes, over-priced drinks, a gorgeous wait-staff and arguably the freshest fish you can find this side of the Rocky's and this far from a coast. Sushi Den is known for flying fresh fish in daily from Japan, but what truly sets it apart is its smoky flavored wasabi. While they accept reservations on weekdays, expect to wait for a table on any night of the week and cozy up to one of their two full bars. The Den is not exactly the most intimate of date settings, but its artsy food and beautiful-people watching is a great way to dodge any awkward dinner date.
