I would hang out at the Dark Horse with my friends just after we turned 21 which was almost 40 years ago. Not much with The Dark Horse has changed, and I sill like it.
Although I've moved out of the state, I still think of The Dark Horse from time to time and the good memories it gave.

When you step into this bar you enter a wonderful drunken parallel universe with darn good greasy food. Their wall furnishings are like a tripped-out circus. Just go there you’ll see what we mean. It’s a big bar with two rooms, ramps, a stage, pool tables, karaoke on certain nights—the whole guacamole folks. Think the only thing missing from preschool was beer? Well whine no more – the Dark Horse has you covered on Tuesday nights when they host tricycle races.You can indulge in different flavors of buffalo wings, zuchs and shrooms (fried zucchinis and mushrooms), chili cheese fries, and everything else our doctors warn us from. Just add a friendly crowd and wait staff to the mix and you’re doing good. Metromix wants to warn all you “Dark Horse Virgins” out there: The bathrooms are tricky. The door of the women’s bathroom has a guy pointing to the men’s room and vice versa. Although it is funny to watch newbies walk into the wrong bathroom. We’re just looking out for you. You complete us.
