Discussion of:
Obama or McCain? Let a totally unqualified celebrity decide!

Liberman is just a wishy washy two facer, he keeps changing sides and wants to be on who he feels is on the winners side and then when that person loses he goes back to the other side. Liberman can not be trusted and is just a two facer liar.

I am glad Mccain and Palin did not get elected, both are a couple of dirty liars, twisted everything around that Obama said, were always putting down Obama. Could not believe all the lies, gossip and rumors that were spread around by McCain supporters and McCain and Palin themselves. Obama is a Gentleman, seems like a very caring, honest and trustworthy. When Obama would defend himself against McCain then Obama would be accused of attacking McCain. McCain is a liar, cannot be trusted, and this country would certainly gone to Hell with McCain and Palin in office. seemed they McCain and Palin both worship the devil. Neither were devoted Christians, going to church does not make someone a true Christian, anyone can talk the talk, its about Walking the Walk and neither McCain nor Palin were walking the walk which could tell in there lies, false accusations, etc.

Isn't it Christian to help your fellow man, to ensure that he has food and clothes? And the GOP is taking that away from us. Even Christian Churches have turned their backs on the GOP because of single issue voting (like abortion) because constituents are suffering more under GOP policies that give bigger tax breaks to the wealthy and less for the middle class. God chooses imperfect people to carry his perfect message. Noah, Moses, et al. Obama will get clarity about the abortion issue but i like what he says, leave Roe v Wade as it is but let's work to eliminate unwanted pregnancies. The GOP has been in power for 8 years, have they done anything to dilute or eliminate Roe v Wade. It's up to the Supreme Court. They have been using these one issue votes to control us. I say it's time for fresh leadership under a Democrat. Blacks aren't voting with Obama as he's black. If that were the case, i would vote for the black woman--Cynthia McKinney of Georgia--on the Green Party ticket.

Everyone automatically thinks because I'm a person of "color" I'm voting Obama. I stand as a Christian and I will not sell my Christian values for a tax break. So now go figure out who I won't be voting for.

so..who's qualified? dick cheyney? pat buchanan? james carvelle? the cable non-news 'bots? or any other member of the media-political complex, a conflict-of-interst-for-profit cluster of careerists? the opinionistas are not always the best informed either. could be that actors who play in, and writers who create, theatre and fim that explores political issues, motives and personalities may know enough to be worth as much attention as joe-the-hustler...or, for mainliners, take a(nother) look at "the manchurian candidate", "angels in american", "the front", "the candidate", "reds", "the best man", "a face in the crowd", "1776", "the last hurrah", "all the president's men", "recount", and so on...and on...see if there isn't more substance in these than in the nightly news. then, make up your own mind.

Alec Baldwin offered to move to Canada? I just switched my vote to McCain. I held up my end of the bargain. I'm looking for Alec to do the same.

Vote Obama for better future Still the Reps using their fear mongering tactics, and personal attacks, but Americans are not so stupid we know better, for sure we do not want to repeat the last eight years of our history where our ideology of capitalism is almost knocked down we don’t need to - Continue tax incentives to the rich and to companies that ship out jobs. - Broken health care system: - throw everybody to the mercy of insurance companies. - Rising economic insecurity - Rising costs and stagnant wages - destroy our and the world economy We know better. Vote Obama for better future Obama is the One for change, don't be fouled or misguided by the misleading Ads

I have stopped watching all of the stars who have put fourth their endorsements -- I feel that this is a private choice and Hollywood should keep their comments to themselves, just like Government should keep out of peoples personal decisions !!-- same thing to me -- Ignorant people would go with what the "STARS" say-- Oprah was one of my favorites but, now I really gave her up -- because quite honestly, I feel she bought Obama this election $$$ money talks -- the real truth doesn't seem to matter

Neither should anyone from the other ethnic groups vote because of ethnicity. 200 years from now I wont be asked if I was black or white. I will be asked if I know Jesus and accepted him as Lord and savior. In an election there are many issues to consider but when a society gets abortion, same-sex marriage, embryonic stem-cell research, human cloning to name a few wrong economic concerns will soon not matter. We need to follow Martin Luther King's words don't judge someone by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I don't know Obama so all I can go off is his voting record.

Why I Can't Vote For Obama By Huntley Brown Dear Friends, A few months ago I was asked for my perspective on Obama, I sent out an e-mail with a few points. With the election just around the corner I decided to complete my perspective. Those of you on my e-list have seen some of this before but its worth repeating.. First I must say who ever wins the election will have my prayer support. Obama needs to be commended for his accomplishments but I need to explain why I will not be voting for him. Many of my friends process their identity through their blackness. I process my identity through Christ. Being a Christian (a Christ follower) means he leads I follow. I can't dictate the terms he does because he is the leader. I can't vote black because I am black I have to vote Christian because that's who I am. Christian first black second.
