Goodbye food of 2009, hello eateries of 2010

Food has always played an important role in history – there’s the Last Supper, the discovery of America when Columbus was supposed to be scouting spices and the whole keeping civilization going thing – and 2009 was no exception. Tiger Woods picked up a Perkins waitress (among others), “For the Love of Ray J” showed us ice cream as we never want to see it again and Charlie Sheen’s alleged Christmas blow-out with his wife began at a dinner party.
Food is even more important to us Coloradans, as we need fuel for our bevy of outdoor activities and a sponge for our microbrews. The year in Colorado food marked the beginning for some talented chefs’ eateries, and the end for others. We got our first “Top Chef” and the nation’s first medical marijuana restaurant. Here’s a look back at the people and places that fed us in 2009.
