What does a Denver cop and coffee have in common? One may wonder, but when it comes to John Haney, owner of Haney’s Coffee Shop in the Highlands, the answer is clear. John and his wife Kathy opened Haney’s in 2004 across the street from their house; John also works for the Denver Police Department as a detective. He opens up his coffee shop in the morning and then works the 2 to 10 shift at night for the police department. This almost seems like the next horrible Ben Stiller flick in the making.
