We admit it: We drove by the Buffalo Doughboy Bakery about 50 times before we finally made it inside. It's not that the purple Queen Anne Victorian doesn't stand out — quite the opposite. It's just that when we're looking for a fresh croissant and a cup of craft coffee, South Broadway isn't the first neighborhood that springs to mind (also, we've learned not to take extendo coffee breaks too close to the office, just in case The Man happens to stop by for a snack). But make it inside we eventually did, and it's definitely our loss that we didn't make it sooner.
