The latest cookbook from Morton's the Steakhouse
By Bob Nicolai
Special to Metromix
Klaus Fritsch, co-founder of steakhouse giant Morton's, was in Denver recently to promote the chain's latest cookbook and raise funds for Feeding America. The book contains recipes Morton's tips for special events, as well as a few from some of its celebrity clientele. You'll find salads, appetizers, steaks, fish, desserts and cocktails included. And while Fritsch says all the recipes are good, to him, they are merely guidelines, and home cooks should feel free to play with them to suit their own tastes or to use what they have on hand. With his help, Metromix has put together a menu from the new book to celebrate the last holiday of summer, as well as that most American of dishes, beef.
