Saving energy has never been so satisfying
In honor of Xcel’s Lights Out Lunch on Friday, Team Metromix made a fast break to University Sports Grill, the DU campus’ best hockey bar/blue collar Italian eatery. Along for the ride: red-headed producer and hot chocolate hobbyist Erica Boniface, associate producer Matt Farley (who this time last week was slurping down lamb tongue at House of Kabob) and marketing guru Jenny Cox, who may not have been fully prepared for the gastronomic orgy that is an official Metromix Denver lunch break.
University Sports Grill manager John Arenas and owner/cook Dave Seubert were ready and waiting for us, and within a minute of sitting down the parade of marinara-drenched goodness began marching across the table. Things got pretty hectic in a hurry, and rather than try to make sense of the proceedings, we’ll present them here in all their raw, fork-clashing glory with impressions from each of us.
