Two governors, former Broncos hit Elway’s for men’s health awareness
Elway’s on Cherry Creek was the place to be on Wednesday night for the Hot Rocks Griller Challenge. Yes, the draw to the sold out event was the celebrity chef competition. Robert Bogart of Elway’s Downtown, Michael Bortz from City Bakery, Jamey Fader of Lola and Big F Restaurant Group, Troy Guard from Barolo Grill, Matt Selby and Brandon Biederman of Vesta Dipping Grill and Steuben’s, Goose Sorensen of Solera, Tyler Wiard of Elway’s Cherry Creek, Elise Wiggins of Panzano and Sean Yontz of Tambien and Sketch were there cooking up a storm for a good cause.
The evening was to support men’s health awareness for Denver Health Medical Center. Gov. Bill Ritter spoke to the crowd of 650 socialites and poked fun at his recent biking accident, adding the folks at Denver Health gave him the best care in the world during his hospital stay. In addition to Ritter, Gov. Bill Owens was also there shaking hands and supporting the cause.
Now we’re going to feel like story toppers here, but not only were two Colorado governors at the event, but also former Broncos players, Rod Smith and Haven Moses were in attendance too. Haven Moses was also a presenter for the evening and discussed how important men’s health awareness is and gave big kudos to Denver Health for its programs.
