Is it haunted?
That's the first question we ask as we come through the door at Linger, the eclectic and spooky new Highlands bar and restaurant that, until a year or so ago, was literally a ghost town. As in, the Olinger Mortuary. So even the Metromix team, which generally doesn't concern ourselves with existential questions, has to wonder if perhaps some of the former residents might still be hanging out behind the scenes.
After spending a long evening at Linger, we found the answer: Yes, the place is haunted as hell. By the spirits of chef Justin Cucci's other culinary projects; by the tastes and smells of cuisine from about four separate continents; by a dedicated crowd of foodies each and every night.
And by at least one lonely ghost.
