In which Metromix makes bad puns in two languages

Everyone in Denver knows that if you want real ethnic food, you head for Federal Boulevard. The scenery isn't much, but if you care more about authentic tacos or noodles than you do about linen napkins, you can easily find some of the best meals you've ever eaten while looking at the alleyway behind a Motel 6.
But what about Boulder? That fair city is up to its eyeballs in coffee shops and stylish nouveau-American bistros, but there's no real equivalent to Federal where you can can just go wander around until you stumble across some quality tripe.
On a recent trip, we were skeptical of Black Pepper Pho when we saw that it was located in a strip mall. Little did we realize how much pho-n* we had in store.
*Since we will be making pho-based jokes throughout this piece, you should be aware that it's pronounced "FUH," as in "fudge."
