Diner? Drive-In? Or Dive? Open 24 hours, seven days a week, Pete's Kitchen has been a Denver landmark diner/dive since 1942. The joint has a diner feel but the coagulated mustard yellow booths and bar chairs scream dive (in a good way, of course). Over the years the place has won numerous awards and mentions for best breakfasts and late night eats from Denver media.
What it's known for: Pete's Greek-infused breakfast and lunch menus include the feta cheese omelette, gyros breakfast sandwich and patron favorite Pete's Platter (Greek salad, gyro, souvlaki, chicken and pita). The diner/dive serves breakfast anytime you're craving some rise-and-shine deliciousness and that has kept Pete's in good business. They pride themselves on home-cooked meals with a steamin' side of great service. So much so, Pete and his family has opened up six other locations in the Denver Metro area.
