Masterpieces can be spun from simple ingredients. When it comes to Vietnamese cuisine, one of the omnipresent staples of the menu, pho, follows a simple formula: Combine beef broth, rice noodles, bean sprouts and follow the bliss of your palate. Federal Boulevard has become the keystone of Denver's pho community, and with that has a tighter concentration of noodles than Rave on the Rocks. Here is a sneak peek into five of the Asian soup havens.

Pho 79

Whether you prefer meatballs, raw beef slices or brisket in your bowl, there's likely a subtle variation on the basic recipe that will satisfy at Pho 79.

Pho Ha Noi

A staple of of Federal's Vietnamese scene, Pho Ha Noi also is one of the few places that switches menus from lunch to dinner.

Pho 95

Even with a slight language barrier, they are still super friendly to all guests- they'll even dish you over a fork and spoon if you can't quite handle the noodles with a pair of sticks.

Da Lat

Still a little unknown, Da Lat is part of the next wave of uber popular Vietnamese eateries on Federal.

Pho Duy

Pho Duy is often overlooked by Denver food enthusiasts. The space it occupies on Federal combined with the tight parking make the venue a less than desirable location to dine out. However, once you get inside it's unlikely that you'll be disappointed.
