Easter is a day to go out and celebrate with the family. Whether you are planning on doing a crazy Easter egg hunt or you're flying the kites the Easter bunny left in your basket, one thing is for sure, people will be out and about having a bunny-hopping time.

At some point, you're going to want to stop and eat. Restaurants around town are not shutting their doors for the holiday–they're opening them with Easter specials you can't resist. Below you will find the specials, the meals and the fun deals. Some restaurants are even going to be visited by the Easter bunny himself.

Peter Cottontail tends to get slightly jealous over Easter time. And why wouldn't he? I mean, the Easter Bunny is only the coolest rabbit on the block over the special holiday. And on Saturday, April 3—the Easter Bunny is seriously the cool guy on campus. Head down to The Brown Palace for the kiddos to enjoy breakfast with the Easter Bunny! The little ones will enjoy a child-sized buffet with breakfast favorites, an Easter egg hunt, and photos with the Easter Bunny. It is only $10.95 for kids five and under, and $31.95 for adults. Sorry Peter Cottontail, you're just not that special.

1515 is one of the most romantic spots in LoDo. And for Easter, they don't disappoint. This year's buffet will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a fresh spring menu offering a little of everything. A slew of pastries, breakfast foods, seafood, meat and desserts will be on hand. The meal is $30 for adults and $15 for children under 12.

With more than 1,000 wines located at Brook's, you have your choice for Easter Sunday. From 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m., they will be serving delicious sliced beef tenderloin, Alaskan king crab legs, eggs Benedict, roast leg of lamb and much more. The cost may seem a bit steep, but when you're dealing with such great food, you'll get your money's worth. It is $45.95 ($52.95 with champagne) and $18.95 for kids 6-12. Hey, what kid doesn't enjoy eating beef tenderloin on Easter?

Easter Brunch at the Garden Terrace

Head down to the Inverness Hotel for Easter Sunday and dine in the Garden Terrace. They are offering a special brunch menu from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., with an elaborate buffet with a wide-variety of entrees to choose from. Easter brunch wouldn't be the same without the kiddos and they're offering face painting, a balloon artist and an Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. The cost is $55.35 for adults and $23.40 for kids ages 6-10.

The Cool River Cafe is offering so many food options in their Easter brunch buffet that our minds are hopping just thinking about it. Breakfast items will include eggs Benedict, Denver eggs, scrambled eggs, French toast, cheese blintz with blueberry sauce, applewood bacon, potatoes, sausages and much more. They will also be offering salads and platters, but for the main courses, enjoy grilled chicken with artichoke sauce, baked mahi mahi with mango chutney, pot roast with veggies, shrimp cocktail, smoked salmon, Alaskan red king crab legs and a carving station with prime rib and spiral sliced ham. Desserts will include cheesecakes, torts and piece. The brunch buffet will be open on Sunday, April 4 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and the cost is $29.95 for adults and $12.95 for kids 12 and under.

It’s family-owned and operated with incredible food for your taste buds. For Easter, they'll be dishing up a 3-course menu! The first course you will be able to choose from soup of gold potato and leek, baby organic field greens, spring asparagus, house salmon, duck pate or oysters. That's just the first course!! For the main course, brioche French toast, Alaksan halibut, eggs Benedict, filet mignon and Colorado lamb loin. Last but not least, dessert! Enjoy key lime pie, almond cake, bread pudding and truffle mousse. All this for just $47/adult; $15/children.

The Easter buffet will be served from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sunday, April 4h. Adults are $29 and children 12 years and under are $12. The elaborate Tavern build your own bloody Mary bar is a favorite every weekend and can be enjoyed during Easter at $5/person along with the newly added $8 bottomless mimosas. While the adults partake in the bloody Mary bar and bottomless mimosas, kids can enjoy the Easter fun. The Easter Bunny will pose for pictures and children can choose from a basket of eggs for a little treat to enjoy!

John's Restaurant is a quaint dining experience sitting in a house along 23rd and Pearl Streets in Boulder. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so we suggest booking a reservation well in advance to enjoy their Easter brunch. John's will be serving up a delightful Easter 3-course brunch for $29.95/person and $13.95 for kiddos 12 and under.

If your family is in town take them out to the ultimate Easter dining experience at Beatrice & Woodsley on Sunday, April 4. Enjoy a multiple course menu starting with hard boiled Easter eggs with your choice of coffee, orange juice, or grapefruit juice. And since it is Cru Wine Bar, you can expect some amazing wines to complement your meal!
