Once upon a time, Colfax was synonymous with drug deals, crime and ladies of the night. Playboy reportedly referred to Colfax as “the longest, wickedest street in America.” Enter urban renewal, which cured the avenue of its bad-boy image and lined the streets with hip bars, unique stores and excellent restaurants. Case in point: Trattoria Stella Too.
Stella, the little sister of the Highlands staple (celebrating a decade of delicious food this year), just opened as the reincarnation of Café Star. Stella Too’s menu contains about two thirds of the favorites of the original, with the major addition being their stellar (no pun intended; OK fine, totally intentional) thin-crust pizzas.
