Dinnerclub1 - I can't comment on how your experience was at Terrace View, as I wasn't there. My experience wasn't very good. I'm sorry you're experience wasn't good at 12th Street Diner. I enjoyed my food and the atmosphere. Now, in terms of trying to compare this downtown diner to a place like Terrace View - it's like comparing apples to oranges. If I'm going to a place where I spend $100 on dinner, I expect certain things that I might not be as picky about at a place where the entire meal is $30. When I write these reviews, I try to take everything into account, including quality of food, preperation, atmosphere, portion size, price, etc. The nice thing about our setup here at Metromix is you can write your own review, and future diners can make up their own mind based on your review, my review, etc.

I have to say I have eaten here as well and did not find it as outstanding as you did. I am surprised you gave such a glowing review to a greasy diner, but you tore apart The Terrace View. Are you a trained restaurant reviewer? I also think you should limit your use of the word tasty. I have ready several of your reviews and you seem to use this word several times in each of your reviews (in this one you said it 3 times).
