Sam's No. 3
In a world of pre-fab, retro-50’s style diners, Sam’s No. 3 is the real deal. The family of original owner Sam Armatas has been incorporating Mexican and Greek ingredients into hearty, all-American diner fare for over 75 years. Like any proper diner, they serve breakfast the whole day through, including 22 (!) variations on the breakfast burrito; like the chicken fajita burrito, the classic, and the Greek burrito, stuffed with gyro meat, to name just a few. Give Sam’s No. 3 extra points for featuring legendary local businesses like Vail Mountain Coffee and Liks ice cream. If you’re going to stuff yourself, you might as well support the little guy while doing it. There are two locations (both still, "No. 3"), one in Aurora, and one right in the heart of downtown. Above is the Aurora location.
