Room for dessert
Credit:Justin Jimenez
If you have the forethought to save room for dessert, Aix has made sure that there is something on the menu to satisfy the frog in you. From a caramelized pear tartine ($7), to crème brulee ($7) to the seasonally inspired pumpkin pie mousse ($6), you can’t go wrong. I tried the pumpkin mousse served up in a martini glass, topped with a hazelnut crunch and garnished with a caramelized sugar and cinnamon stick ‘lollipop,’ which doubles as an edible utensil. The mousse was light in both texture and flavor and, paired with a piping hot espresso, provided a perfect end to their new fall lunch menu.
