Aix-en-Provence is synonymous with chic boutiques and trendy restaurants. It’s a small town in the south of France brimming with young, hip bourgeois with discerning taste and the money to afford them such luxury. Aix, a trendy uptown restaurant on 17th Street, invokes its namesake with a menu that would do those French hipsters proud and your wallet a favor. And, with a menu printed on recycled paper, rife with produce and meat choices from local farms, executive chef and proprietor Rachel Woolcott, chef du cuisine John Depierro and sous chef Diane Snider ensure that now, the socially conscious can have their lunch and eat it, too.
