A sensation on Capitol Hill since 1987, Benny’s is by far one of the best Mexican restaurants---ever. Yes, we went there. Locally owned, the restaurant has been barred by several publications as having the best food, green chili, best rellenos, and need we forget, margaritas in town. The atmosphere is comfortable yet lively. Being so popular by the locals, you may need to call ahead for ‘resies’ if it is a party of 6 or more (Fri. & Sat. excluded). You have over 15 margaritas to choose from and all the tequila you can handle. A personal fave is the liter o’ margs, to split with a bud. Get the sloppy burrito and a pear margarita and you’ll never want to leave.
