Abyssinia is a casual, affordable Ethiopian restaurant located on East Colfax. The friendly wait staff serves up family style platters of traditional Ethiopian cuisine. The place is rather small, so be prepared to wait if you bring a large group. There are both vegetarian and meat dishes, both served with Injera. What the heck is Injera? Well, Metromixers, Injera is flatbread somewhat similar to pita that is used in place of silverware. See, you learn something everyday. Also, several Ethiopian beers and honey wine complement the menu. Wow, we are so educational.
