Gambling releases red meat pheromones
What is it about gambling that makes you want to just eat a giant steak whether you win or lose? Maybe gambling releases steak pheromones, ultimately enhancing your craving for red meat. Maybe that's why we went for the 10-oz. filet mignon.
Verdict: They offer a handful of sides to accompany your entrees, but we wanted the well-balanced meal consisting of veggies and mashed potatoes. That way we'd get a little starch, some veggie-action and red meat. The name of the game on this meal: butter. The mashed potatoes were mixed with buttery goodness which made you think of Fabio and his silly "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter," commercials. Enough is enough, Fabio. Real butter will beat your fake butter anyday. In the mashed potatoes case, the butter was just right which helped with the consistancy of the potatoes themselves—they were creamy with just the right amount of chunks to remind you that they're made from real potatoes.
But come on now, what we really care about is the filet mignon. It wasn't the flavor of the mignon itself that made it so sensational, it was its tenderness. Nothing is more bogus than having to saw through a filet mignon. It just isn't right. The filet mignon at The White Buffalo Grille was tender, juicy and full of natural flavor.
