Margarita crepe = Perfection
We knew right away that we would like the margarita crêpe. For starters, it has some of our favorite things in the world in its title 'margarita' and 'crêpe'. How can they go wrong?
Crepe-y lowdown: The margarita crepe falls under the dinner crepe category—it is filled with roma tomatoes, bacon and buffalo mozzarella. We would describe it as an upscale French burrito or an inside-out French pizza...but better. The crepe made us think "Why the heck can't we make something good like this at home? Life would be so much better." The tomatoes were tender to the bite with refreshing juiciness to them while the mozzarella was a good contrast to them. The bacon was crisp to perfection and brought all the ingredients together brilliantly.
Get saucy: Crepes n' Crepes offers two different sauces for their entree crêpes. One is a pecan pesto sauce and the other is a roasted red pepper and eggplant sauce. We thought we'd give them a go with our margarita crepe and our overall thoughts we were so-so on them. First of all, the crêpe is whimsical without any sauce and secondly they didn't have a "wow" factor like the crêpes do. The pesto sauce was flavored just right, but it didn't complement the crêpe. The roasted red pepper sauce was honorable and added a new touch to the crêpe. If we'd have to choose, don't bother with the pesto sauce and dive into the red pepper if you're one of those have-to-have-sauce-kind-of-people.
Damage: The margarita crêpe is $10.50.
