crepe-tastic!
If you look ‘crepe’ up in the dictionary, you’ll first see this:
Crepe (krãp), n. 1. a thin, light fabric of silk, cotton or other fiber, with a finely crinkled or ridged surface.
Okay, if we were writing a review for “Martha Stewart Living” that would make sense. But, no, we are talking about the other definition for ‘crepes’:
2. a thin, light, delicate pancake.
Ahhh, that’s the one. You see, crêpes originated in a region in northwest France, called Brittany. Today, they are recognized as a national dish. Americans have grown to love the savory, flat pancakes.
In Denver, few creperies have opened which offers a wide array of different crepes to choose from. No, IHOP’s crepes don’t count— sorry, Grandma.
Here in the Metromix office, we were craving crêpes one day, and we turned to the one place that knows all about crêpes. No, not the French Embassy. We’re talking about Crepes N’ Crepes.
