To many people, New Orleans means one thing. No, not nipple flashing for cheap plastic beads – it means food. Fatty, buttery, luscious food. Lucile’s, set in a cheerful Victorian house since it opened in 1980, has developed a Creole menu that rivals the best of N’Orleans. For breakfast try Eggs Pontchartrain with a side of grits, or sleep late and savor their Crawfish Etouffee for lunch. Vow to spend an extra 10 minutes (OK maybe 30) on the treadmill and get an order of beignets.
