The Summit is a steak and seafood haven that makes diners plead for a doggy bag. The large cuts of bone-in ribeyes and New York strips sizzle from the moment they’re served and are as juicy as they come. If beef is not your cup of tea, er, protein, try the tender rack of lamb or the Australian lobster tail. Either way, you will be full when you leave this divine, dining domain. The staff at The Summit steakhouse have combined two seemingly unlikely elements of ambiance as well: USDA beef and piano bar music. Though the food prices here are considerable, the addition of a live soundtrack every Friday makes up for the dent in the wallet. Carefully conceived and executed dishes such as the Rack of Lamb at $35 and the 12-ounce Ribeye at $29 may be pricey, but the rich flavor is worth it. The prices also lend for a conservative atmosphere, so it's best to opt for a button-up shirt and slacks in lieu of a T-shirt and jeans. Easily the best steak joint in Aurora, it's arguably its most versatile as well. Perfect for a posh date night or a more relaxed evening with close friends; if you’re stopping in for a power lunch with clients, try sitting on the patio to catch a glimpse of the stunning mountain landscape.
