Boozing on an empty stomach can be a decision that you will later regret. To help you out in this regard, the Rock Rest Lodge has a free dinner buffet starting at 5:30 p.m. every Friday evening. The transition from happy hour ($2 wells, $4 domestic pitchers) to the rest of your night is a lot easier when you have a plate full of spaghetti, salad, and dessert to help absorb some of the alcohol. The bar is known for having some snooty bartenders, but if you get on their good side you'll likely have a decent time. Thursday is college night (student discounts), and there is plenty of music and room to dance all night long.

I went there for the first time....gotta try the wings. Great place to hang and get your grub on. Will be back.
