Often confused, without much basis, for the 3rd Ave. Sub Shop, Richard's on 3rd is a historic house nestled within a cozy Longmont neighborhood. Just how Richard avoided zoning laws, we'll never know, especially with a liquor license for the award-winning Margaritas. The vegetarian green chile, which Richard swears is as addictive as heroin, is also an award winner. This is definitive southwestern cuisine, and not to be confused with Mexican grub, where the blue corn tortillas make all the difference. Summer's make for an idyllic margarita afternoon on the patio, where locals can do the tequila waltz home by foot.
