Inspired by the giant blue bear salivating menacingly in the direction of Denver conventioneers, Canterberry golf club changed its name to Black Bear. Or maybe the new owners just have a fondness for bears of the black variety. The name change led to the switching of its restaurant from Beckett’s Table to Black Bear Restaurant (real clever). They serve modern American cuisine at moderate prices and feature a buy one get one, $1 happy hour. But don’t drink too much- God knows what could happen when you mix alcohol and golf carts.
