The Railbenders lasso in rock with beer in tow
You could call them the "cowboys of Colorado’s music scene," but don’t expect the Railbenders to be riding off into the sunset anytime soon—they have their boots planted firmly in the Mile High City.
The band formed in 2000, and since then they’ve toured the nation while sharing their “hard country” music with towns north and south of the Mason-Dixon Line. But, just who are these rough and rugged outlaws? Well, today the band is made up of front man Jim Dalton (vocals and guitar), Tyson Murray (upright bass), Graham Haworth (drums), and Tony Nascar (the fastest guitar in the West).
We caught up with Jim while he was saddling up for an open mic down at the Cheeky Monk. Donning his signature guitar and signature beer in hand, he was jammin’ on his version of the classic song “I’m Keeping Your Poop in Jar;” we knew then that the night would be anything but boring.–Laura Kelley, Special to Metromix
