Boulder favorites, The Motet, spent New Year's bringing the house down at the Walnut Room. Combining elements of jazz, rock, Afro-beat, funk and more, this six-piece ensemble hit the ground running 10 years ago and have not looked back. From the West Coast to the East Coast, The Motet has whipped audiences into a frenzy with their complex arrangements and knack for improvisation. The Walnut Room was wild as people chugged their libations while listening to the sounds of brass and woodwinds.
