The Grammy winners set Colorado on fire
As the garage band-turned-Grammy winners took to the stage, the sold-out crowd's hype resonated down from between the rocks making very clear the mass was ready to see one of the best live performances in modern music. The Kings of Leon didn’t surprise anyone. They are simply expected to put on a perfect show and they delivered.
The Whigs were the only openers, giving Kings of Leon a solid spread of playtime. The rain held out, and strikes of lightning made for a pretty backdrop as an already stellar display of visuals played out on the KOL own set of stage screens.
The band also enjoyed some scenery of their own. Looking out into the audience, frontman Anthony "Caleb" Followill could only smile, shake his head in awe and say “One of the prettiest crowds I have ever seen Colorado.”
It was a night to behold, with the only complaint being that it had to come to an end.
