Rocket Man plays solo for adoring fans on Tuesday
Denver was host to yet another music legend on Tuesday night as piano man Elton John took the stage at the Wells Fargo Theatre. The ageless musician played in front of a packed house, and for a good cause, raising funds and awareness for the Matthew Shepard Foundation, which started after the University of Wyoming student was murdered for his sexual orientation in 1998.
Sir Elton kept things simple for the show, playing without any sort of band or backup musicians. But fans were anything but disappointed as the singer and songwriter flawlessly played through a seemingly endless list of hits. Elton John wore a pair of lightly tinted sunglasses as well as a uniquely designed jacket, which seemed very typical apparel for the musician. Unsurprisingly, the show was sold out, and gave some great exposure to the foundation. It was a fantastic night with great intentions!
