Invesco Field heats up with punk, rock, screamo acts

Rockers, moshers and punks got hot when Vans Warped Tour rolled into Denver on Friday.
The all-day event featured over 100 bands on five different stages. Less Than Jake, The Devil Wears Prada, Gym Class Heroes, Against Me!, Asking Alexandria and a mosh pit of other punk, rock, metal and screamo bands took over the Invesco Field parking lot and played to the tattooed, the mohawked and the mayhem-hungry crowd.
When the heat got too much for some, others raged at the different stages, giving the bands their most enthusiastic jumps and rock-on hand signs. Some of the tired and over-heated made the best of their situations by spraying water at each other, while others just looked miserable in the sun, determined, however, to just have a good time anyways.
Crowd surfers were aplenty with the bands usually egging them on. We're surprised none of the bands tried crowd surfing themselves, but alas, solid concrete would not be an ideal place to land.
Vans Warped Tour continues to Utah next until August 14 when the tour stops rocking in Oregon.
