Friday night of the two-day show
“That guy sings from some place deep, from the soul” Keysha Lewis told Metromix as she was leaving the show. Pure satisfaction seemed to be the consensus among fans as they filed out of the Ogden Theater on March 27.
Citizen Cope headed down from Steamboat for the first part of his two-night show after playing a free gig up in the snowy mountain town on March 26. More than one fan followed, as several die-hard fans didn’t hesitate to let us know that they were only two-thirds done spending a three-day weekend watching “the most down to earth musician of our time.”
Ironically, earthy, green themes seemed to be in the air. "Rock The Earth," a campaign to protect our environment whose motto is “Defending the planet one beat at a time” had a booth set up to help spread awareness of its' cause. You can find them at concerts all over the country, as Citizen Cope is just one of the many big name artists, such as Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, Guster and more that are helping advocate the preservation of our lands.
