Best Coast brings the West Coast to Boulder

Warm beach vibes come on a chilly Valentine's Day night

Best Coast brought couples and singles out to the Fox Theatre in Boulder Monday night. No Joy and Wavves opened the lover's night of a show, which was fitting: Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino is real-life valentines with Wavves frontman Nathan Williams.

Best Coast's cute, dreamy surf rock was perfect for the couples in love, or the singles pining for a special someone. The crowd was primed and ready to rock and danced past midnight. The crowd’s energy and enthusiasm was paralleled with spirited playing, so much so that Cosentino broke a string while rocking too hard!  All this frisky music, mixed in with some solid stage banter, made for a perfect night out for Valentine’s Day out! — Mark Broste
