Bruno Mars
The 22nd annual MuchMusic Video Awards (Canada's answer to the MTV Video Music Awards) were a little more dramatic than usual this year, thanks to a scheduled appearance by Lady Gaga and an unscheduled (but widely rumored) appearance by Canadian teen heartthrob Justin Bieber. Bieber was officially on hand because he was nominated for several awards, but he was clearly also there because his girlfriend, Selena Gomez, hosted the night. When Bieber accepted the award for "Best International Video of the Year" (which he co-won with fellow Canadian Drake), he checked out Gomez in a way that probably broke the hearts of tween girls everywhere—and definitely made the rest of us feel really, really uncomfortable.
Various other big names were also on hand to perform and present awards, including Snoop Dogg, Colin Farrell, Far East Movement featuring Dev, Bruno Mars and Cody Simpson. But really, even with Gaga performing not once, but twice, the night belonged to Bieber. Canada's just so proud of the little guy!
