@Goldfinger: Allow me to recommend the Fleet Foxes CD. As an Eagles fan, I think you will appreciate the harmonies and completely discernable lyrics!

Even though Justin Vernon started passing "For Emma, Forever Ago" around in 2007, it wasn't formally released until this year. That should the Bon Iver album a spot, especially considering how many hip, disposable records made it on these lists.

How on earth could you not include "Long Road out of Eden" by the Eagles? Even my twenty something dauthers love it. Doesn't music that you can understand the lyrics count anymore?
