Things got even more insane on Day 2, as July 20, 2008 will be one that Colorado remembers for years. Dave Matthews stamped a massive exclamation point on the day, but the supporting cast made sure that this festival remained true to being an ensemble performance. The Roots damn near blew the top off of the tent of the Bison Tent Stage, and the Flobots had a homecoming like none other. And John Mayer proved why he is the musical mogul he is, as to quote one in the crowd: “I don’t like him, but I never heard him live. Holy sh*t is he good.” Never, has there been a concert like this in the Mile High before. It is a good sign for an inaugural event that people are already talking about next year as they are walking out...
