An earful of euphoria

Michael Franti dropped it like it was hot, and Spearhead was sharp as well, a spear. O.A.R. got freaky close to starting a revolution as they ignited the mass of humanity, and Steve Winwood solidified his legacy even more. The only thing hotter than the 97° heat was the crowd itself, as the kick-off for the festival was out of control. Granted, the audience would have probably been better off consuming a clear liquid rather than the brown tinted bubbly that was in abundant supply, but hey, a little dehydration is a great way to shed weight, right? Tom Petty closed things out and everyone tucked themselves in to get ready for an even bigger day to come.
